Little Sally is only seven years old, so she don't remember like me how bad it was and how everyone was cryin' and hurtin' and not knowin' what to do or where to go or even what to think, It was 13 years ago on 9/11, and Granny held those babies close since everyone was scared. And I had to tell Sally something you shouldn't have to tell a child, how bad things happen to people and how it's hard to understand.
"Granny was there just like she is when people need her most, because where love is there is Granny too. Some people did some very bad things, and innocent folks got hurt when some airplanes crashed into buildings and even in the fields. The Man Upstairs, who's always with me, with you, and with everyone else besides, was there, still loving, caring, working hard with folks, the helpers and the hurting, cause He's the one in charge. And He don't want bad things to happen, but people don't always follow His ideas nor even Granny's advice."
"Today we all remember most of all the people who are gone away, we cannot see no more, that Granny misses like the families of those folks The Man Upstairs took home with Him that day those years ago. And no one really understands, even your old Granny; but one day we all will when we go home ourselves."
